I'm a high school student and the founder of Abet Sync, a student led platform that connects students, researchers, and professors to collaborate on meaningful projects. I'm passionate about artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and using technology to expand educational opportunities. My goal is to help students build real world skills, conduct research, and create projects that make a lasting impact.
The Platform
AbetSync is the national collaboration platform built by Darneim Hashir & Naod Brhane to empower students from Grade 9–12 across Ethiopia. Designed and built entirely by high schoolers, it serves as a central hub for student innovators, researchers, and tech enthusiasts to connect, share ideas, and build real-world projects that make a lasting impact.
Origin & Purpose
Before Abet Sync, passionate high school students across Ethiopia worked in isolation. Abet Sync was born to tear down regional silos, uniting students from Addis Ababa to Mekelle, Hawassa, Bahir Dar, and beyond to exchange ideas and co-create solutions.
Launched in 2026 as a national community-led platform, Abet Sync grew from a shared vision among student innovators and mentors committed to equipping youth with real engineering and research experience.
